Artist Sergio Cuarenta was born in Etzaltan, Mexico in 1977. He moved to California in 1989. In 2003 he received his BA in Art with a concentration in painting from California State University Stanislaus. Sergio has exhibited in the US with shows at Jay Jay Gallery in Sacramento, Stanislaus State Gallery in Turlock, The Chartreuse Muse Gallery in Modesto, and the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock. Sergio lives and works in Turlock, California.
His painting in the show, “Da Molly Lama,” is a portrait of his dog Molly. Molly is a German Shepard and Belgium Malinois mix. Molly is a rescued dog, adopted by his wife from Westside Animals for Adoption in Patterson, California. He says, “She is the best and most unique dog we have ever had.”
