Ann Wright is a self-taught artist from Davis, California. She grew up drawing cartoons of people and animals and making abstract designs with watercolor. She has degrees in acting, set design and playwriting from UCR and UCD, but has pursued her art to the exclusion of everything but writing poetry and taking care of her husband and sons. Her work has hung in galleries all over Northern California, including the Allport Gallery in San Francisco and the Crocker Museum in Sacramento. The Davis Arts Center will feature her muse paintings and poems in an upcoming show in January of 2015. She is very happy to be included in the Sheltered show because she has been a parent to many cats and dogs needing homes.
