Ryann Casey was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, surrounded by strong women and a commitment to science, art and politics. She received a BA in Photography with a minor in Women’s Studies from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Pomona and a MFA/MS in Photography and Art History from Pratt Institute in New York City. She has been presented in both solo and group exhibitions in New York City and Philadelphia while also working as a Professor of Photography and Art History in New Jersey. She has curated and overseen multiple exhibitions in Philadelphia, including four major charity shows benefiting organizations such as PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society), the World Wildlife Fund, Bat Conservation International, Oceana & Sea Shepherd. She currently resides in Philadelphia.
